Previous Conferences

In 2003, during the leadup to the 75th anniversary of the Edinburgh Film Guild, a group of Guild members - a mix of academics, film enthusiasts and members of the film industry - began discussing the paucity of research into film audiences.  The outcome was the first Edinburgh International Film Audiences Conference, held in March 2005.  Its success led to a decision to hold the conference regularly every second year.
